E3 2021 : Good, but slightly underwhelming

E3 2021 Highlights

E3 2021. One of the most anticipated events in gaming and tech – finally here and how!

From Battlefield 2042 gameplay reveals to an all new Guardians of The Galaxy game – we got a LOOOOOT from it. But even so, it was slightly underwhelming.

Jeff Goldblum talking about… I guess we will never understand! But he came to announce Jurassic World Evolution 2 – and let’s just say it was pretty meh… So was Kojima’s Death Stranding Director’s Cut – weirdly cute but also gives us zero clue as to what the hell was happening in the trailer!

But there were some really promising moments, especially from Indie Game Devs, for instance, Metroid Dread. ‘Nuff said! R6S Extraction was a pleasant sight for sore eyes due to the overall flat event, but we can blame the ongoing pandemic on that. It’s been difficult…

Here’s everything you missed out on E3, but let’s have a laugh first!

On to more serious topics and an in-depth analysis of the event and what’s to follow in the future; we recommend the following video:

E3 2021 Going Digital?

E3 2021 Goes Digital

Yes, you heard that right. The yearly gaming event that always brings BIG surprises for us might be shifting to a digital platform due to the ongoing pandemic this year.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo features many big titles and reveals and although it was cancelled in 2020, it has been confirmed to take place, and was announced by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). Their spokesperson told Verge :“We can confirm that we are transforming the E3 experience for 2021 and will soon share exact details on how we’re bringing the global video game community together.”

It will mostly take place in June, between the 15th and 17th. If you’re not living under a rock, you know how big this event is for the gaming industry.

These are all the games you should be excited about, and rightfully so!

Unfortunately it’s not a 100% confirmed whether it’s going fully digital or not, but it surely sounds like it; owing to the ongoing pandemic and a lot of economic uncertainty and instability, it would make more sense to shift it to a digital format, like the Summer Games Fest from last year. Or the Game Awards. Let’s see what the future holds for us.

Until then, keep hustlin’ gamers!
